Innovative Solutions for Single-Sided Wall Formwork Challenges
#

The construction of single-sided walls above 4 meters presents unique challenges, especially when through-wall tie rods cannot be used. Traditional approaches, such as increasing the number of bearers and diagonal braces, often lead to higher costs, slower installation, and the risk of misalignment. The Triangle Strut Frame offers a purpose-built solution for these demanding scenarios.

Triangle Strut Frame Overview
#

The Triangle Strut Frame is engineered specifically for single-sided wall formwork. By eliminating the need for through-wall tie rods, it ensures a smooth wall surface without tie holes, while providing the necessary strength to withstand significant lateral concrete pressure. This system supports precise wall alignment, delivers a clean finish, and contributes to a more economical construction process.

The Triangle Strut Frame has been successfully implemented in major civil projects, including railway undergrounding, metro, and light rail works, making it a trusted choice for complex single-sided wall applications.

Key Features
#

  1. Robust Double C-Channel Frame
The frame is constructed with double C-channels, providing excellent resistance to bending and high load capacity. This ensures that walls remain plumb and stable during concrete casting.

  2. Anchored for Reliable Support
Cone-L and J-Bolts are pre-embedded in the foundation and connected with high-tensile tie rods through the pressing beam, making the Triangle Strut Frame the main load-bearing support.

  3. Flexible Adjustment for Site Conditions
The system includes Universal Horn Jack Bases and Junction Plates of Jack Base, allowing for fine-tuning to accommodate site slopes and minor ground level differences. This keeps the wall formwork perfectly vertical.

  4. Efficient Relocation and Reuse
Entire wall formwork units can be shifted without dismantling. With Triangle Type Frame Moving Castors at the front and U-Type Frame Moving Castors at the back, units can be moved manually or with a forklift or small crane to the next pour location.

Modular Design for Versatile Wall Heights
#

The Triangle Strut Frame consists of three modular components:

  • Upper (0.75m)
  • Middle (4.0m)
  • Lower (1.5m)

These can be combined to suit various wall height requirements:

Wall Height Component Combination
Up to 4.0m Middle
4.0m – 4.75m Middle + Upper
4.75m – 5.5m Lower + Middle
5.5m – 6.25m Lower + Middle + Upper
Above 6.25m Layer-by-layer relocation

Advantages
#

  • Powerful Support for Lateral Concrete Pressure
The Triangle Strut Frame reliably supports single-sided wall pours from 4m to 6m in height. For walls taller than 6m, layer-by-layer construction is recommended. During the first layer, Cone-L and J-bolts are pre-embedded in the foundation. After the first layer is cast, the Sucoot Ring Lock Scaffolding System can be erected beneath the Triangle Strut Frame to create a stable platform for the next layer.

  • Formwork System Relocation Without Dismantling
Using Formwork Moving Castors or a forklift, each formwork unit can be relocated as a whole, eliminating repeated assembly and dismantling. This reduces manpower requirements and accelerates the construction schedule.

  • Adjustable Base for Slopes and Height Variations
The Universal Horn Jack Base allows for precise adjustment of the base plate angle and height, adapting to site slopes and ground differences. This ensures each formwork unit remains perfectly vertical and aligned.

Applications of SUCOOT Base Beam/Soldier Beam
#

The SUCOOT Base Beam/Soldier Beam is suitable for a variety of construction scenarios:

  • Bridge Viaducts: Serves as a primary or secondary bearer for inner/outer formwork and wing form support.
  • Slab, Beam, and Wall Formwork: Functions as a main or secondary bearer in slab, beam, and wall formwork.
  • Large-Span Structures: Designed to accommodate large-span structures, offering cost savings in formwork support and concrete pouring.
  • Lateral Support: Provides stable lateral support at any height, ensuring structural stability.

Ideal for:
#

  • Infrastructure Projects: Bridges, viaducts, culverts, tunnels, and other large-scale developments.
  • Industrial Facilities: High-tech factories, steel mills, and power plants.
  • Commercial and Residential Construction: Robust structures such as columns, walls, and slabs.
